Four-Inch Display - The PiranhaMAX 170 features a four-inch display with eight-level grayscale, and 260 x 160 pixel resolution which will help you get a good view underwater, even in direct sunlight.
The PiranhaMAX 170 is extremely easy to use with most anglers simply pressing the power button to turn the fish finder on. Depth range selection long with adjustments such as sensitivity are all done automatically to keep critical information such as the bottom and fish visible on the display.
Sonar technology is used by the PiranhaMax to send sound waves from the transducer into the water and then process these returned "echoes", which are then plotted on the display, creating a picture of the underwater world to help you catch more fish. Information such as distance to underwater objects such as the bottom, fish, and structure is all displayed.
Dual Beam 200/83 kHz Sonar is used through a wide (60 degree) transducer to provide maximum coverage area. This dual beam sonar optimizes the processing capability of the PiranhaMax to show the greatest bottom definition using a narrow (20 degree) beam yet can still indicate fish found in the wide (60 degree) beam when the Fish ID+ feature is turned on. This feature is perfect for a wide range of conditions--from shallow to very deep water, in both fresh and salt water.
The PiranhaMAX 170 new in the box comes with a Mounting Bracket, Transom Mount Transducer, Installation Hardware/Cables, Owner's Manual. If purchasing used be sure to verify everything that comes with it.
